well, I really was leaning towards the Alltrax, but my dealer has a 500amp Curtis Controller he is giving me a smoking deal on that I can not pass up. So, with that being said, what motor should I go with? Or, is it even necessary?
I would like to buy a motor that will also work with an Alltrax controller if and when I decide to pull the trigger on one. |

Any motor that works with the Curtis will work with the Alltrax. There are a lot of good choices from Admiral, FSIP, AMD, etc. I'm still doing my own research so others will need to give you the specifics.
BTW, did you find out if the seller will be restricting top speed? |

That's good news that he will not restrict it. Yes, speed really sucks the juice! Make sure you add a good digital volt meter to keep an eye on the batteries.
I've heard D&D makes great motors but are sometimes not easy to work with. Admiral seems to be very popular right now and they are my front runner as well. |

About $110 too expensive and not very precise. There are tons of meters available either from site sponsors or on the web that will display voltage down to the tenth of a volt.
