what kind of speed should I be looking at?
2000.5 or 2001 DS 48v Series cart with a 6" lift and tires. I have the stock controller and have verified the batteries. I have added a Plumb quick bandit motor and I have the HD fwd/rev switch. Added that when my switch went.
Before that I had a 36 volt motor on it. I have yet to replace and upgrade my cables. The max speed out of both motors on the cart is 15/16 MPH Last night I just got done fixing and replacing the accelerator bearings and fixed the shaft so it was tight on the pedal there is no play on the MCOR linkage. Batteries are reading 51.5 volts after sitting off the charger for a full day. I swapped MCOR's at one point but didn't notice all the play in the linkage and bearings I could swap it back and try the other MCOR. What kind of speed should I be seeing? I was hoping to see 20mph? I believe I had 13/14mph with the stock 48volt motor on it. Any suggestions? Right now I am disappointed both with the 36volt upgrade and that is why I tried the Bandit motor. Am I expecting to much? Or am I just plain missing something? Worn out controller? worn out MCOR? what do you guys think? Time for Cables and controller? Thanks |

Cables are always good, but will not change your speed unless one is bad and not giving full voltage to the motor. If you have stock size tires you are probably limited there and by your controller if it has a stock speed code in it.

Yes stock controller for that cart. I believe the tires and rims I have on that cart with the lift are 20x10x10.

Should be going much faster, especially noticeable with the motor upgrade. Maybe check the throttle output and make sure it is sending out 100% signal? i.e. if it sends 0-5k ohms signal, make sure it puts out at least 5k ohms at full throttle?
