Default Altrax Controller Help

I am trying to help out a disabled neighbor on his CC and not finding what I'm looking for in the sticky. He has a 93 CC with an Altrax Nivel 842 (NPX 4834) and still has the v-glide for the throttle assembly. Basically the cart won't go; it started out as he would here the "click" and sometimes it would work just fine and other times not. It has completely quit now. I here the solenoid click, I have 39v at one large post of the solenoid and when active the other post drops to 37v (resistor is still in). From B- to B+ (at controller) I have pack voltage with or without the pedal pushed and the same thing at B+ to M-. at pins 2&3 on the controller I have 0ohms and once I depress the pedal is raises to 6.2k ohms. It has been a long time since I have tried troubleshooting these carts so I was looking for the step by step sticky like is available for the ezgo.[/

Trying to be sure I'm thinking right; on the large posts of the solenoid checking vdc with the resistors in place, pack voltage present and when pedal depressed just until it clicks the voltage should go to zero correct?? If not bad solenoid?

For the Solenoid test you mentioned, the meter probes should be on each of the Solenoid big posts.

You should have a few volts (less than 5v) across the big posts with the Solenoid OFF, as soon as the Solenoid "clicks", the voltage should go down to 0v as the Solenoid contacts shunt/short the resistor out of the circuit.

And if I have pack voltage without pedal depressed?? I'm going to check again tonight but swear I had pack voltage with or without pedal depressed.

If You have the black meter probe in one of the big posts and the red meter probe on the other big post and You are measuring pack voltage, there is no resistor or the resistor is open.

That's what I was thinking; I stopped by his house on the way home last night and the solenoid was measuring correctly.....but the cart was running fine!!!!! I wonder if there is corrosion under the resistor connections since this problem comes and goes as it sees fit and I swear I saw pack voltage across both large posts when I checked it and the cart was NOT working properly. This one is going to be fun to chase!!
