I'll charge it again tonight. I bought the speed sensor because it was only going about 8 mph. It was doing everything TahoeDawg described in his sticky. After replacing the speed sensor is when it started doing the sputtering thing. I'll check for heat, and other poor connections tonight. Thanks for all the responses so far. This forum rocks!

put the other speed sensor back in it and see if it goes back up to 8mph and you could at least see if the new part is causing that problem.

Thanks to all! First, I thought a 48V cart was fully charged at 48V. Now I know better. So I charged it up (it hit 53.8V) and it ran well. Then I put the new speed sensor in with the new magnet and voila! Worked like a charm. I'll be driving it on the beach in Port A this weekend catching fish! Thanks to all!
