Default Re: What does "yellow battery" light mean on 2006 Precedent?

Thank you for sending this.

I am not sure which of the above scenarios references my specific situation.

The yellow light comes on but only once with no intervals. This appears when I disconnect the charger only and it does not appear again.

The actual time the light comes ON is important, but You have mentioned 2 different occasions.

The charging related errors come ON as soon as You unplug the DC cord from the cart.

If the light only comes ON when You try to drive the cart the first time, it is either telling you the OBC was in sleeping mode and was awaken by the pedal micro-switch, or that the OBC memory is invalid, which happens after a reset.

If the light comes ON while driving, it is an indication of weak batteries.

Assuming You have not modified the charging system like running a second negative cable around the OBC, do an OBC reset to clear the memory and allow the OBC to profile the pack again.

Just disconnect the pack negative cable for more than 10 minutes.

After you connect the cable again, try to drive and the light should come ON briefly indicating a successful reset.

Plug the charger and let it finish the charge, keep in mind it will take longer as the OBC is using the backup algorithm dV/dt.

Perhaps I should've been more specific.

I disconnect the cable and then drive the cart which is when the yellow light appears. NOT while driving.

I have not modified anything.

So upon immediately disconnecting the cable, that brief yellow light indicates a successful reset.

That's helpful to understand. thank you for clarifying this.

This is what mine does when it's been sitting a while. The yellow light flashes briefly and never come on again.

At first I though the yellow light was telling me something is wrong.

Thank you to everyone for their posts here. This was quite helpful.
