Default 2008 precedent

my 2008 precedent has a battery voltage of 12.6/7 volts after charging the day before.
When driving around our park for 20/30 minutes the cart starts to slow down to a crawl then stops. If I let it set for a few minutes it will take off sometimes like normal then sometimes real slow.
Its like something heats up. It just happen again then I checked the battery voltage and the reading was 12.5/6 on all 4 batteries. could it be the solenoid heating up?

How old are the batteries? And what is the pack voltage at the time this is occurring? Both of these things ~could be your issue.

Hook your voltmeter to your battery pack and go for a drive. What is the lowest voltage the pack hits when it's slowing down or creeping? Sometimes batteries will show good surface charge, but collapse when there is a demand for amps (eg. accelerating). You can also hook your voltmeter to one battery at a time while driving to figure out which one is failing (if indeed one or two really are). Driving up a steep hill is the easiest load-tester we can all access to troubleshoot battery problems.

last night the wife and I went on our ride around the park. The pack voltage was 51.2. The cart did fine, going up our slight hill the voltage dropped 50.8.
After 20 minutes of slow driving the pack went to 50.2 then we went to the other side of the property where there is a long section of road to go faster.
Upon starting the long section of road the pack dropped to 47.8 then once up to speed the pack started to go back up.
When the ride was over the pack was at 50.2.
The main difference was the outside temp before we were in the upper 80s last night we were in the mid 60s
The batteries are 2 years old with a automatic watering system. (that I dont like)

2 years old are fine as long as you have been keeping them on the charger after each use and when not in use. Yes, keep the meter on there for a few trips.

The numbers you listed above are not bad, but my suspicion is when youdo see the problem again you are going to be seeing the mid 40's...
