Default slow 05 clubcar ds iq

im looking at an 05 clubcar ds. serial # starts with AQ so i know its an IQ. problem is, right now it goes about 6 MPH. Is that normal until you get it programmed or should it go faster now?

If the batteries are good and nothing else wrong, then it was changed to speed code 1 for some reason or another. You should be able to change it to Speed code 3 by using the numbers under the seat with a hand held programmer.

Could be the speed sensor...Check the sticklies on how to test...Pretty easy...

Give the cart a push and check if you hear beeps, and feel resistance. If you don't the speed sensor is bad, if you do, it may be what Nole said, or batteries getting weak.

batteries are new and should have had a full charge. I did push it and got beeps. guy told me he replaced the speed sensor thinking that may be why it was so slow but nothing changed. so if its programmed at 1 it would be that slow?

Speed Code 1 = 8 Mph
Speed Code 2 = 11 Mph
Speed Code 3 = 14.7 Mph
Speed Code 4 = 19.7 Mph

Try putting in a high speed magnet...You will go as fast as the motor will let you..They are inexpensive and easy to install...
