“Wet” Cart
Hello again,
Saw a post for a 2013 Precedent with new batteries that won’t move because it got wet. I have torn apart a DS and 2 precedents and as far as I know it’s very hard to get water into the controller cabin. If this did indeed get wet, what components could have been taken out? It’s a smoking deal and I wish I was more confident with the multimeter to check out what is and isn’t getting power to eliminate possible suspects. Any help along those lines as well? Thanks! |

Re: “Wet” Cart
Splashing water will not cause any damage other that erroneous input signals to the controller.
The usual culprits are the "low current signals" like: FNR switch itself. You can usually just use a blower on those 2 areas if the cart stopped working after you washed it. |

Re: “Wet” Cart
I would ask how it got "wet" it might be a flood cart from one of the hurricanes in Houston, or Florida this year. Which might mean it was submerged in Salt water. Don't get me wrong $1350, still sounds like a good deal. I would just want to know if it was salt water.

Re: “Wet” Cart
Ok guys, I'm gonna go check it out this weekend. Is there a nice link somebody can put here directing me on how to test the key switch, solenoid, controller, and motor with a multi-meter to see if they are receiving proper power? It's about an hour away and I want to arm myself with what could be the culprit if it doesn't move.
