Default Rear End Oil Level

Help. I have a 87 EZGo, electric. When adding gear oil to the rear end, do you fill it, 1) till it runs out the fill plug or 2)just by the amount? If by the amount, how much will it hold when full?

Thanks

Default Re: Rear End Oil Level

In 1986 1/2 through 1987 E-Z-go used a different rear end, If you are sure yours is an 87 then the proper oil level is to the bottom of the magnetic plug. The differential holds a total of 6oz of oil.
