Thanks

Just did mine yesterday. $48 buggies unlimited. Plus you need the buttons.

Thought the buttons were on the driven clutch?
My drive clutch is also deeply grooved. Currently never fully shifts. Goes 14 mph.
Is there a new sheeve kit to cover the grooves or is it a total replacement? Ebay 200-300$ for my clutch.

I am betting its a full replacement as I havent found parts for the drive clutch
I wonder if the E-Bay clutches are any good, you will see the cheaper aftermarket being advertised as having plastic weights?

Thanks kinda what i figured. I was going to try having it machined but there is not much material there. Also pondered rolling some thing flat plate into cones. Looks like more time and money then just buying a new clutch.

Not sure on ebay. Sometimes you get oem sometimes china junk.

Buddy of mine suggested a tube of jbweld to build it back up.
I doubt that would hold up but might give it a try for temporary results.
My prediction is it will blow off at some point and rough up the belt.

I think your prediction is spot on. You could cold form sheaths out of aluminum, but that is pretty labor intensive, and it would be easier to buy a new clutch. And this is coming from a guy who has a reputation for doing things in a VERY involved way! LOL!
Another possibility, would be to weld up the grooves in your clutch and machine them back to as close to original as possible. But then all that heat will make things move, and that may or may not cause issues.
The third possibility is to buy a cheapie on ebay and combine parts from old and new to make the ebay clutch better. Problem there is no way of knowing if any of the parts will interchange. Good luck, hope you get it all taken care of cheaply! Like, maybe you can find a used clutch?
