Old Club Car wiring glitch
Good afternoon all! I'm new to golf carts, but if you have an issue with your chopper I'm your guy!
I picked up an old Club Car 1997 DS 36V Vglide for the cost of the batteries, very solid unit not too beat up but definitely has a few quirks. First, I installed a new solenoid as the original was missing. Here's what it does: I get 37+_ volts at the solenoid with the key on, but it does not click, I get 6.5 volts with the key off. Now here's the weird part, if I jump the solenoid with the key on or off the motor fires up and will run up to full speed via the speed controller (pedal) I have gone through the wiring schematic, cleaned all contacts checked everything I know to initially look at and can't seem to understand what's going on. Anyone have any ideas? |
