Default 1989 Gas CC

I know a guy that is looking for a farm cart. I've come across an '89 gasser. Would this have the flathead Kawasaki in it? Pros/cons? I've never owned a gas cart, but I've worked on plenty of small engines. He said it runs good, but it does run rich at first when its cold outside. He sent me some pics, I'll try to post them later. Lastly, what would you give for this running cart in 'good' condition?

Yes that came with the KF82 Kawasaki flathead engine. 341cc's. Historically a decent engine, but some parts are getting pretty hard to find. Otherwise it's a Club Car. Anything but engine/ ignition parts are everywhere.

Ok gotcha, thanks.

Ideally we'd find a newer one, but this guy doesn't want to spend much...

I love my KF82 cart...and I have a spare motor if anything ever happens to mine. I would dread having to hunt down parts for a rebuild...they are few and far between. The parts you can find are $$$.

We have a 1989 Gas Club Car and love it. Paid $1400 for it about 7 years ago and use it daily in the pastures and gravel & paved roads. Put 4 knobby tires on it and a trailer hitch. We use it as our farm SUV, tractor, tool truck, and spray vehicle for herbiciding fence lines. It also makes a great snowmobile in up to 6 inches of snow. It has a top and windshield and lots of bling. I would buy another one if I found it for the same $1400 and would out knobbies on it too.

That's cool Paul.

This guy still has this one for sale. I've been keeping so busy lately; I'm going to see if he has it after the new year.
