Deciding between 1" lift block and 4" lift...2005 CC DS
Figured I'd start my own thread. I'm not going to go anywhere crazy with it. Around the neighborhood, minor off road trails, and the beach. I'm thinking of keeping the 8" rims and going with 20" tires with some tread...nothing insane.
I do like the cost savings between the two. But how does it look overall? My end goal for this cart is probably to sell it and start a new project in the Spring. It does seem like lifted carts sell for more and sell easier and I've still got to put the HD leaves in the back. Thoughts/pics/advice? |

Deciding between 1" lift block and 4" lift...2005 CC DS
I went with a 1" block in the front and 1" longer shackles in the rear. I didn't do the hd rear spring as I wanted a soft as ride as possible. Plus only my little kids ride in the back so I don't have any rub issues. Actually my brother in law did ride back there a couple of times and he's probably around 225. No issues but probably wouldn't be ideal for multiple big guys in the back. As my kids older I'll probably have to put medium duty springs on. As far as the 1" vs the lift, I'm not a fan of most of the lifted ones with wheels sticking way out. I had one in the past and prefer this look better. But to each their own and I can still appreciate a nicely lifted one. I've haven't updated it for too long but my little build thread is below. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...project-3.html |

And I should have mentioned that I drive this more off-road than on. I take it camping and that's the only on road driving it sees. So it's off-road 70% of the time. Packed dirt or grass, never mud...

Looks good! I like it. I think I'll give it a shot. If I don't like it I'm out $50 right? Thanks :)

Thanks. Yeah it's cheap so if you don't like it no big loss. Rides like stock and looks better to me...
