I was thinking of anti-seize, but since this doesn't have a key I realize what a mistake that would have been.

Good enough for a spare but have a new one on the way.

Dished pretty good, but for putting around on level roads with wife and a couple kids it seemed to work. Max speed was 16 mph. Will be interesting to check after installing new clutch and belt.

Yeah that's shot if your primary is that bad I'm sure the secondary isn't far off of it I'd make it a point to change the secondary when it's possible iv never seen it but heard of them wearing through enough and exploding

EXPLODING?! That sounds awesome enough to wait for (with a two strap and camera).

Secondary sheaves aren't too bad. Maybe already replaced, either way, they'll be replaced at some point

I lost my golf cart cherry on a decent cart with clapped out clutches. That's OK, the rest seems very clean and engine runs great. Maybe if I'd known about clutches I'd have felt them before choosing a cart and agreein to a price. Let's say I helped a young man and his parents come a smidge closer to affording college tuition. Was glad to see a. It and his dad working together flipping lease carts and fixing stuff. Momma Gubmint robs me blind every paycheck to hand out money for some folk to sit on their sofa all day. Perspective, right?

Here's a photo of secondary helix overlap. Normal? Jacked up?

Hard to tell from the photo but it doesn't look horrible... The scheeves actually look better than I expected after seeing the primary

If you're going to sink money into a new secondary, check out the clutch from Plowmans. Money well spent.

Yeah, the more I look the less urgent I feel about the secondary. We'll see how it behaves with new primary and belt. Seems queersome to spend money on primary and belt and leave a questionable secondary. It would make a serviceable set for a budget builder.

Wait. I thought I was a budget builder?
