G1 rebore OS piston.
Fellas...I was not really that happy with the performance of this G1 i have been playing with over the last few months.
I replaced the all the normal things on it like...New seals, set of standard rings, plug, filters ,carby rebuild , cleaned the fuel tank and new fuel...you know all that stuff....She went ok on the flat ground but sort of hesitated on a steepish take off and on hills it slowed...:thumb down: Anyway I had oversized piston and ring set left over, I thought I could fit in a worn cylinder , It didn't fit so I just replaced the rings not knowing that you had to rebore the cylinder to make them fit...Well thats what I finally did....Rebored it put the new oversize piston in .025...And boy what a difference...It is unbelievable ...The power increase is astronomic ,the thing will wheel spin, seriously Power up hills like its on the flat ground...WOW! And NO piston slap at all, dead quite...That little 215cc motor is all the power I recon you need ...this thing is dangerous.. |
