Default Difference between Yamaha G8 and G9

I am new to the site and just bought a Yamaha G8 gas. I am trying to figure out what the differences are between a G8 and G9? When I look online it just says the G8 is an upscale G9 with curvier front and end fenders. When I look at putting a lift on the cart it tools like the G8 takes a different lift than the G9? Can you peeps help me sort this out in my old brain?

Also, if there is a search engine on the page I have not located and there are other threads on this, I apologize in advance. Thanks.

The G8 is much more like the G14/16/22 than it is the G9. The bodies are interchangeable as well. The lift kit for the G8 is the same as the G9 I believe, although I used an inexpensive one and ended up fabricating most of it have it was poor quality. Pictures of G8 with G22 cowl.

G8/G9 drivetrain is the same (engine/trans/etc). But the frames and bodies are quite different between the two, completely different carts. I'm not sure about the suspension, if there's a difference called out in suspension for a G8 I think i'd stick with a G8 lift kit.

The G8 rear end is not the same as a G9. The axles and the axle tubes are different sizes. And They don't mount up the same

Needed to replace a nose on one a year or so ago & couldn't find anyone still making them. I did find one (NOS) that a dealer had bought years ago, but the customer backed out. It surprised me that no one is still making them , since it fits so many models for a good number of years. For now anyway, a decent used one may be the best you can do.
