Re: No idol 81 G1
Oh I didn't remember sorry about that, yea they sure are dangerous. We had this cub for 25 years and I plowed our 2 acre garden many times with it. Then it 1995 it broke down while plowing and that was where it sat until 2000. My dad passed away in 94 and in 2000 I figured Id try to restore it and pulled it out of the field where it sat for 5 years. I completely disassembled the engine and trans and pto gearing and put all new parts in and put it back together and then I sandblasted it all then painted it. The fellow that purchased it I sold it on ebay lives in Baltimore Md. and uses it only to pull floats in their annual parades. He sends me pics every now and then letting me know its still going strong.

Re: No idol 81 G1
Figured out why my G1 wont idol today, bad seals. I put it up on stands and while holding the gas pedal down a little sprayed carb cleaner right behind the clutch it started right up and idoled great for a few seconds. I already have the seals but have a couple questions. Do you have to remove the gas tank in order to get at the clutch better? And I have never done this before where do I start first?
Thank you very much. Calvin |
