How to get more power from my gas CC
Mine is a 92 I believe, its probably a little tired, doesn't climb hills great, would new rings help it have a little more power ??
Can this be done w/o removing the motor ?? Also would like best option for lift kit and knoby tires. I dont have alot of cash to spend. Also what winch would work for the cart ?? Thank you |

Re: How to get more power from my gas CC
not a cc guy but you might want to do a compression test before you go replacing rings. if you want to put on a winch you could custom mount it like i did on my g9, or i think jakes lift kits sells a winch mount.

a compression check is a great start
A weak engine will only give weaker performance with bigger tires |

humm what SHOULD the compression be ??
If the compression is low would rigs take care of that ?? How hard to do them ?? Is this winch junk ?? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3000L...Q5fAccessories what would a lift kit and knobbys run roughly ?? |

Re: How to get more power from my gas CC
That winch is prolly okay? Certainly big enough to lift a GC off the ground!
You really can't just ring an 4 stroke like a 2 stroke..... they go further before needing replacement and usually by that time there are other parts which are also quite worn! |

Looks like a nice winch and should work good for a golf cart.

Re: How to get more power from my gas CC
What have you got? Fro a single 160 - 175 in my opinion....
You just do not want to build a cart on a tired platform |

Re: How to get more power from my gas CC
The motor can be refreshed.... parts are available for a complete rebuild from the site sponsors. There is not a lot worth doing to get more power in my opinion.... just get a bigger motor
