96 TXT custom wiring my 36v to 48v
I found that the EZGO TXT wiring leaves much to be desired. I do not like how and when some voltages are present and that some things like the buzzer could be on even with the key off.
I upgraded to an HD 36v solenoid and added a 480 Amp LogiSystems controller that will work 36v or 48v. When I added the two extra batteries, I had some issues. I did not want to run the new solenoid on 48v as that would shorten its life. Also the LS controller is picky on the control voltage with respect to the motor voltage (48v). I did not want to buy a new key switch for the lights I added and did not want to strain the switch with too much current. So I added some automotive 12v relays I had around to control power for Acc & Lights along with a backup light. I am going to make this street legal so: Lights, Horn, Blinkers and Backup Light. I also added a Volt Meter and an Amp Meter with a 500 Amp shunt. Here is what I came up with Wiring_Diagram.jpg I will post my next mod that is to use the reversing solenoids soon. |

Nice drawing. You have a lot going on in that wiring. The program you do these schematic's in is it something you bought or got off the net some place.
I'm not that good on making them. Would like to know if it's something I can get to try and make me a libarary of drawings. I have a bunch of hand drawings that I would like to convert to the computer. |

Here's mine. I didn't change anything on the stock side of the key switch. I only added accessories when I upgraded from a two position switch to a uniquely keyed three position switch.
I also like your schematic. I use Visio for mine. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/membe...hen-tuner.html |

No Warez talk allowed. Thought that was pretty common knowledge.

Re: 96 TXT custom wiring my 36v to 48v
Visio is part of the Microsoft Office Suite, and yes, it aint cheap....
Visio tool for electrical engineering is actually a Hybrid schematic tool as it depicts mechanical stuff as well as electrical stuff. It's a primitive tool for schematic generation as it doesn't allow for developing parts libraries (mechanical) or schematic symbols libraires (schematic symbols depicting peculiar parts) and it doesn't create netlists or wirelists, has no error checking and is primarily provided as part of the MS Office suite as a tool to generate slides for presentations, etc. It has it's uses but isn't a serious engineering tool. Edit: I don't see any conversations here about pirated software. I had to Google the term "Warez" to understand Roady's posting. Perhaps Andy's comment on how "price ant a problem"???
