I'll assume that all connections to/from the controller and Solenoid have been checked for tightness? You say you checked the wiring. Did you miss anything?

More possibilities- intermittent/bad motor, worn/resistive (intermittent) solenoid contacts.

But having said all that eventually you'll likely need to replace the controller anyway as an upgrade.

Just would be wary of doing that if say the motor's bad....It could damage a new controller.
Solenoid won't do any harm if it's resistive other than maybe get really hot.

edit- one intriguing thing is that the buzzer doesn't even require the ign switch to be on.....BMW- do the following- (if you have a meter, place the negative lead on the battery pack Neg terminal)

Remove the controller cover and locate J1 (use the attchmnt for reference)
With the Cart OFF, DIR SEL AT Nuet...............verify 36 v on J1-1 (meter Positive Lead)
Place the DIR SEL to FWD.............................verify 36v on J1-3
Place the DIR SEL to REV (buzzer ON)............verify 36 v on J1-2

The buzzer should be on when in reverse regardless of anything else. If the buzzer is NOT on but there is 36 volts on J1-2 then verify there's 0V (or nearly so) at J1-10.

Post the results.......
i had right @ 38v on j1-1, j1-2 & j1-3 and j1-10 was zero, another thread on here that just started the bama guy has the exact same issues and they are saying it could be a solenoid or speed sensor???

Was the Buzzer on in Rev (with the cart off)?

How about the other test results?

Yeah, it could be solenoid, could be speed sensor or could be controller or motor....

You need to measure or you're going to replace components by playing the odds....

If this is your approach then try the Solenoid first. It only costs about $25. A quick test of the speed sensor is, once again, with the cart OFF, and the Parking Brake OFF, push the cart by hand backwards. You'll hear an intermittant beep from your buzzer. That tells you that movement is sensed by the sensor and the controller recognizes the signal.

Is the Buzzer working at all? You're not going to hear it if for whatever reason your buzzer quit working......

edit: Is your Beeper/Buzzer working at all? Does it still work when in REVERSE? Keep in mind that it is the CONTROLLER that controls the Buzzer/Beeper.......

Sounds like the speed sensor may be a problem. Make sure the wire didn't get snaged.

I just went out to verify that my cart, when pushed gently and slowly in reverse, beeps intermittently.

This is with the cart OFF and switch in Neutral. What this means is that it's only the speed sensor and the Controller in play.....

I would verify the connector/connections of the Speed Sensor to the controller. Refer to the diagram I provided before for location of the plug on the controller.

The other end of the wiring is in the bell of the motor on the drivers side. To see it you'll need to take off the rear motor cover.

I think Andy posted a thread on its location....Search on Speed Senor (intentionally mispelled because his thread's title is mispelled).....

The problem's likely to be either of these two components.....(Sensor or Controller)

One more thing- I don't want to be anal about this but make sure your Buzzer/Beeper works in switch position REV when the cart is OFF. This tells me the Controller is powered up (it should be even in OFF for certain functions).....Then return the switch to Neut to test the back-up beeps.

Well, don't keep us hanging here....too many threads end in ambiguity and we never hear what the actual fix is.

Let's hear back from you!
