Default ST Sport II rear seat to replace dump bed

Looking at buying a new EZGO ST Sport II that has the rear dump. I would want to put the rear seat kit on, but the dealer wants $500 for it AND keep the dump bed.

Just wondering if there is a special seat kit required when replacing the dump bed, and how hard it is to do?

Also, if I need to put the dump back on, is it possible to remove the kit?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, you could put a utv seat in the dump bed. Good for hauling kids around and it can be removed or folded down for when you want to use the dump bed. Cabelas has one for around $149.99, pretty easy install in an EZ-Go.

Yeah, but wont use dumpbed, and need the factory type rear seat for people that are physically disabled.

SO...the only seat kits say for TXT's. Will this kit work for the ST with dump bed?

Is it as easy as removing the dumpbed assembly and installing the rear seat kit?

Thanks!!

The ST is a TXT. The only true difference I know of is the nose. Seat instalation is rather easy to do. So yes remove bed and install seat kit. Depending on the kit you buy the holes to mount the supports in the bagwell should already drilled out for you.

The TXT and ST are quite different behind the seat. The TXT rear seat will require canoodling to make it work right, but there is enough real estate to do the job. You will need to drill, cut, tap, and/or bend metal to make it happen. The roof uprights may be a hassle also.

edit: I own a TXT and I use an ST at work.

What about this , I have a dump bed and I have a second parts cart , I took the front seat out the other cart and it fit perfect in the bed width wise , made a bracket for the rear back rest , put the tail gate down and slide the seat in , for a foot rest took a 2 x 10 board and bolted it to a tube that slides into the hitch , when you don't need the seat it is easily removed
