Default basket case older gas ez-go

this week i got a older gas ez-go from the boneyard.(for free). it has a robin 244cc motor (it says 2pg on it) i have looked at some of the threads and can't find my answers so here it goes

1. the off/on switch has two wires that go nowhere(where do both wires go)
2. there is no throttle switch, just a cable to the carb.(what tells the starter to engage)
3. how does the governer work? (might sound stupid but i am new to golf carts)

Alright a free be. Hate to say it. But you might be better off parting it out and using the $$ to buy a cart in one piece.

Here's a basic wiring diagram for the Marathon 2PG to start with - this should help you get your ignition switch hooked up right.

Now, as to the lack of an accel switch, it's mounted on the drivers side firewall where the hard linkage from the pedal attaches to the throttle cable (not at the pedal as one would assume) so it very well may be there, it's just a standard roller microswitch - let me know if you need a pic to help locate it and I'll try and gety one for you.

The governor is simple on these, it's an arm located on the drivers side just in front of the driven clutch (the arm ends right at the center of the clutch cover) - as the clutch expands, it eventually contacts the governor arm which pulls the governor cable that is attached to your carb, throttling you back a little to keep the RPM's down

thanks brew for the help on understanding how the governor works its pretty simple once you figure it out. As for the throttle, the cable mounts to the pedal under the floorboard and a rod that comes though the middle of the firewall with a big half round washer. with no switches at ether spot, any more help or pics would be great thanks
