pre charge resistor
For those of you that are like me and don't like dangly things in my electric very high current golf cart. I would suggest using these for pre-charge resistors. they can be mounted to a surface. Does require simple soldering to connect to your relay but you now have a pre-charge resistor that is sturdy and won't get bent around or have a lead that can be broken off.

Re: pre charge resistor
Mouser generally sells quality stuff and I'm sure that will work but, failure of the standard pre-charge resistor is extremely rare. Almost unheard of.

I wasn't worried about failure, I just like the mounting option. The precarge resistor I have now is an ohmite I believe they are great quality. This one can be bolted down and not just dangle on it's leads. It is more about aesthetics, I kind of like it to look as good under the hood as it does on the outside. |
