steering wheel adapter
I have a icon (edison) 4 seater 2020. I am looking to find out what steering wheel adapter I need to put a custom steering wheel on my cart. I have tried Yamada Drive and it did not work.

Re: steering wheel adapter
Was stock steering wheel out of alignment by chance? Just curious.

Re: steering wheel adapter
Maybe just build your own if you can’t find an off the shelf unit?

Re: steering wheel adapter
I bought this adapter for my 2022 aev and it fits:
https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Steer...=2ZV2XSRXJJLW1 I have no idea why adapters for our icons/aev cost $80 when adapters for every other cart cost ~$25. I'm still waiting for my steering wheel to show up, but I did test fit the adapter to make sure it works. The only thing I don't like is there is a gap between the end of the steering shaft and the adapter. I designed a cover that fits over the shaft to hide this gap. |

Re: steering wheel adapter
I have installed the new wheel in my cart and it is a big improvement. I took a couple of pictures to show the gap between the adapter and column and the little piece I made to cover it. I'd be happy to give anyone the STL if they wanted to print their own.

Re: steering wheel adapter
What wheel did you replace the OE with? How wide is it?

Re: steering wheel adapter
Nrg 320mm wheel. It is a little smaller than the stock one. It has a nice leather finish and feels good in your hands. The only thing I didn't like was the horn button. It fits loosely in the wheel and rattled. I printed a replacement filler plate that looks much better.

Re: steering wheel adapter
Nice looking wheel, but I was looking for larger wheel not smaller. With the extra length of my i40F it's fairly hard to turn around at slow speeds, especially for my wife.
