Question about my TXT batteries
I have a EZGO TXT year unknown but guessing 2002...one of the Trojan batteries keeps producting the corrosion and eating through the cables. My repair guy, cousin, thinks the 1 battery is bad but does not know if I can replace the 1 battery. The batteries are out of warrenty and about 5 years old. Advice. I do not want to replace all the batteries at 1 time if I have to because of the cost. We only use this on Sundays to got to church...Joke. We use the cart around our property a couple hours a week.

Re: Question about my TXT batteries
well YES you can replace just one....but one bad thing....the pack will "normalize" that one battery and match your old batteries.
The fact that your pack is 5 years old....they are getting close to end if life anyway....so my recommendation, IF you chose to replace the one, I would find the cheapest cart battery that is close to what you have AMP HOUR wise….OR REPLACE THE ENTIRE PACK. |

Re: Question about my TXT batteries
The best advice would be to save a replace the entire pack at once...Hate to give bad news but replacing one bad battery with 5 year rest of pack will send you down an endless rabbit hole of replacing battery after battery until the newest battery is brought down after almost no time by the old ones starting the process of replacing and pushing a dead cart around many times...If you can find a good used battery in the mean-time to get you by while you save up for a new pack that may be another option...
