Default 04 Club Car DS. What is this?

I noticed a wire unplugged today (#2). I found where it leads but no idea what it is or what its for (#1). Cart runs fine. There are two plugs, one attached one not.

Possibly a factory 16-12v reducer for lights and accessories.

That’s an old style voltage reducer that uses power off two batteries. Not really ideal for the battery pack. You can just leave it unhooked, or totally remove it if you want.

You said the cart works fine, but do your lights currently work?
Find out where power for your lights comes from. Possible there was another reducer added of the 48v to 12v variety and they just left the old one.
That could interfere with your lights if you just hook it back up.

Yes, the lights, blinkers, etc all work fine. Thanks for the advice. Will do.
