Yamaha motor ID help
model 5BC 48 JB 845 RPM 2450
2:2KW? V 36 A 77 time rat. 30 min. Amb. temp 40"c wound series FR 48 GEJ 312 Serial no. TCN I want to know if I can switch this motor to use a controller. It is resistor coils and doesn't run. The motor is good. This is from a yamaha and mounted on a par/ columbia car. Can anyone tell me what would be needed for this upgrade, or is it worth it?? Could I run 48 V with this motor? Etc.... With only 2450 rpm, what do you think the gear ratio is?? Thanks for the help.... tony |

Re: Yamaha motor ID help
Sorry this post got missed. Yes, you can use an electronic controller with it. It will also work just fine on 48 volts. Alltrax Controllers. You MIGHT be able to get everything through them, except batts.
