Ways to eliminate belt slippage through puddles
There's only one thing I can think of that any seriously modified golf cart cant do better than an atv or side x side and that is traversing through puddles/creeks due to the exposed drive belt. I know there's a bunch of you using these buggies off road. Has anybody by now come up with an idea to stop the drive belt from slipping when splashed by a puddle? I've seen those yerf dog/utv's at tractor supply and even they have a cool plastic belt enclosure around the primary and secondary clutch...I'm sure rhinos and belt driven atvs are the same. The bottom of the secondary clutch in my cart is 10" above the ground. It runs perfect all day long on dry land up steep hills but then it will slip in creeks only 3" deep from the tires splashing. I think the secondary clutch is what slips. Would be nice if there was a way to ruff up the surface or spray on a textured material for better traction.
