Hey Dave, the belt wants to jump off the rear end it did look just a hair to wide, i tryed to ride to ware it down a tas but it just started to shred so I took it off and put the old warn out one back on it.

The HP 3004 should not have shredded, it is a heavy duty snow mobile belt. I suspect that you must have an issue with your driven clutch. Did you jack up the rear end to observe the correct operation of the clutches?

yeah i did jack it up and both pulleys were opening up, it was like the belt was trying to role off like an old bicycle chine. it only dose it once you get some speed up, at low speed it pulled very well.

Josh, I don't think that you mean that. To clarify, as the engine speed increases, the clutch on the engine should close up and the clutch on the rear axle should open up. If both clutches open up you have a very strange scenario indeed. So is it the case that the clutch on the engine is closing up so tight that the belt gets to the very top of the pulley and either threatens to jump off or actually does jump the pulley.

yeah it acts like it wants to jump off, both of the pulleys are working correctly. with the original belt it runs fine i just need more pulling power. The belt looked like it was a hair wider than the original one.
