Burnt motor, controller, ?????
i have 2007 ezgo series st 2+2. my son had 8 people (overload) on it and it quit running. solenoid is clicking. i removed motor and a few melted metal pieces fell out. took motor to electric motor repair shop, he said there was some damage but didnt think this was my problem. I get the motor back tomorrow fixed but am wondering how to check controller? or what to try next?

Re: Burnt motor, controller, ?????
scotty, in your (its) testing it says to jump a wire from the batteries bl +. what does the bl+ stand for. in the wiring diagram it says it for a light blue wire.well there isnt a light blue wire to check so I assume it means positive battery lug. thank for the diagram and trouble shooting it really helps. I am having a hard time finding my problem on an 98 36 volt series cart. I can smell a strong burnt smell at the controler. new 105 trojans and the same deal happened with mine over loaded with kids and just stopped.
