Default questions on a txt 2001

what engine [gas] did they put in a txt ?
year 2001, and what can be done to bump them up ?
is a rebore ok or do i need a new clyinder ?

i think i just bought one !!!!!!
but it needs work ..........lots lots lots of work .

295cc engine 9hp... There are several things to improve performance, it just depends on what your budget is.. Lets see, shorter belt, 28 deg. clutch, machined clutches, 295 cyl. head on 350 block are just a few. You can always go BB but it gets pricey. Hope this helps.

what is the difference in a 295 to a 350 same block ? crank stroke bore size or just a total different beast ?

what would the 295 head on a 350 do ?

I have only have and played with 2 stroke all my life on carts and sleds.

so sorry if the question seem odd.

The 295 and 350 motor are different blocks. Some people have put the 295 head on the 350 motor which greatly increases compression. That has it's own problems. Basically the Robin is a great little golf cart engine designed for one time use.
