Serial number locations

Can anyone tell me if there are any other locatons that a serial number or build date would be on a marathon? No tag in the passengers footwell on mine. It has the stand up muffler, gas tank crossways behind seat, 2pg engine, total lack of power!

Thats not a 81 body on the front, at least. 88 was the first year for the black rubber cowl

I don't think that I have seen a 2PG with a gas tank crossways behind the seat. Is it possible that someone has put a non standard tank in? What do you have under the drivers seat between the body frame and the outer body?

If you have electronic ignition and a stand up muffler the car will be either 81 -82 or 84 - 87 (unless it has a rubber front nose then it could be 88 -early 89). If you can still read the engine plate there will be a clue there as Fuji put a build date on the engine.

Hardatwork, your cart is 88- early 89 if that nose is original. BTW that engine looks in great shape.

well it's a 87 or older
