Default Differential problem????

Im a new guy...Have a problem. I bought a 1998 G19 48v. Looking around found that the bottem of the differential cover is bent upward. Not sure if their is any oil in their. How to ck and service it, what kind of oil...hope no damage to gears, how can I tell.

Buddy..........Welcome! First the differential question. The rubber plug is the "check/fill" hole. 90 weight gear lube should just run out of the hole after filling. I would take the cover off and check for metal shavings, clean and inspect the gears and bearings you can see, If all ok, would straighten the "diff cover" and "RTV" to seal it. Now "WHAT" are you going to do about the "bent" front frame member? At least it looks bent from the pic's. Thanks for the pic's....It really helps. Keep us posted Dave

Thank you so very much for you help, I will do what you said. "WHAT" bent frame....wow your good. Havent a clue what to do, thought replacing the king pin and bushings reading about it in one of the postings for the leaning of one way or the other of the tire, would help the problem!!!
