Thanks, makes sense that it would also shut it off if your foot is on the brake. I've been meaning to look for just the plunger type brake kit, I think it would plug into the bucket harness in place of the pressure pad.

I use the plunger type and it is very easy to install, You just connect it to the Red and Brown wires from the harness.

So you didnt use the brake delay timer? Does your brake light stay on when park brake is on?

The brake lights stay ON only if I leave the key ON, which I do sometimes on purpose at night for the light source.

The timer relay is a good idea if you have a tendency to forget to turn the key OFF.

Some folks also install a second switch (N.C. instead of N.O.) on the park brake pedal arm to turn the light OFF when the parking brake is pressed.

Ok cool, good info, I hate to buy a new brake kit just for the timer. I will try that option, does it matter which wires the red and brown attach to from the plunger?

It makes no difference, they just need to connect to each other to complete the brake light circuit.

If You normally turn your key off anyway, just by-pass the timer and the brake lights will work.
