Re: 1998 EZGO TXT Stutters when Accelerator is Pressed
Test batteries under driving load (preferably uphill) - not on jack stands.

Re: 1998 EZGO TXT Stutters when Accelerator is Pressed
another guy just told me that if i find a bad battery i can pull it and the next one in the series and insert a 12 v car battery (just to check) and see if the cart runs then that would pinpoint my problem. would this work?

Re: 1998 EZGO TXT Stutters when Accelerator is Pressed
Why don't you just check the batteries voltage as Scotty suggested in post #11 and determine if the batteries are the problem with the cart stuttering? Post the results here and there are some experts here can guide you in the right direction..

Re: 1998 EZGO TXT Stutters when Accelerator is Pressed
Any charged battery that drops below 5.5v under load has a problem and should be replaced. Most of the time a whole cell drops out and you will see a drop of 2+ volts in a bad battery under load. Simple definitive test.

Re: 1998 EZGO TXT Stutters when Accelerator is Pressed
In your first post you indicated 5 batts around 6.x volts and one at 10. If you have a mix of voltages, your charger may be happy with over and under charged batts, since all it cares about is total pack voltage.

Is the 10v a 12v battery? Do all the batteries have the same number of water fill holes? |
