Default converting from 36 to 48 volt

would like to know what all i need to convert from36 to 48 volt, i have a 700 amp controller from bu, and a 9hp torque motor from bu, new trojan 125 batteries, i am guessing i need 2 more t-125 trojan batteries, and a 48 volt charger, from all i have read that is basically all i need, anyone that can give me a little more insight would be great, i have heard that it increases the speed and torque by like 10-15 % i am seeing that when going up a hill it is like slowing to a crawl going up a gradual hill,my gas just blows right past it, both carts are lifted with bigger 10 inch tires both are 04 and 05 series carts thanks jason..

the main thing was i got acart from a friend that wasted the motor and melted the controller, i was parked on the hill and his wife didn't set the brakes, rolled down hill and went into lake, rest was history, new controller new motor , new hd solenoid, bought as a kit just to get my wife rollin, and i have a gas cart, so i don't know much about the electric ones, and just bought a kit, and done nothing else with it, i guess it is mainly i drive my gasser, and i got on her cart today and it just seemed like a pooch, compared to my gas one, that is the main reason why i asked, i have been reading today about 48 volt being more torque, more speed, and just overall better, thanks , jason

jason, 1st, is the 700 amp controller you got from PU 48 volt rated. You will need a HD 48 volt solenoid.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune.....the controller nneds to be 48v rated as jibba said. So will the solenoid and the charger. 4ga cables are needed and a HD F&R . You may want to contact the manufacture of that motor and ask them about running it on 48v before you start down this road
