Question 1993 Yamaha G9 gas golf cart

Hi guys! so im having some trouble with my Yamaha G9 gas golf cart. the cart was running great a few days ago and now it wont start. When i press down the pedal to start it, nothing happens. at first i though it was a dead battery so i tested it and thats not the problem. I threw a new one on there just in case. I also jumped it with my car and the cart starts no problem when hooked up to the battery of my car but as soon as i disconnect it, it wont start again. Anyone have idea ideas of what could be wrong? all my connections seem to be fine. Could it possibly be the starter generator?

Let me try to understand... with the current battery it won't start. Swapping out the battery with another it won't start. But jumper cables to your car it starts?

If that is correct them try to clean the inside of the battery terminals really well with a wire brush. May be corrosion inside there between the terminal and the battery post.

If that's good, you could try to charge the battery. But I'm guessing it would fail a load test and just needs to be replaced.

How good are the batteries your trying, just because they read 12 volts doesn't mean they are good.. have the batteries load tested and yes it still could be your S/G... this happened to me also, meter would read 12.6 volts as soon as a load was put on it the battery would drop to 3 volts..
