Default broke primary sheave

I tried rebuilding motor and broke the primary sheave while trying to remove it
. I prefer not to replace it since it cost well over 200 to fix. Do you think this will be ok?

I broke in 3 spots .

The question there is if it will destroy the S/G belt. My guess is probably. Of course S/G belts aren't all that expensive for full bore test. As for the clutch itself you can't kill something that is already dead. Being I hate to pay out money I would try and clean up the sharp spots a see what happens. I would not be where the flying belt might hit me.

I believe I have just the rear sheave and S/G pulley if you need it.

And add this to lessons learned... clutch puller tools are a good thing...

I had clutch puller. Just connected wrong spot. Boy was it wedged on. You can send me image of what you got. I may be interested in it.

I'm currently halfway across the country traveling for work, but I will be back home tomorrow. I'll try to get you a picture tomorrow night or friday. It's not pretty but it's not broken. You can have it for whatever shipping costs me

I’ve seen worse on steel pulleys. There’s a small chunk next to that that might try to crack out at some point, but I would think you can file or sand down the edges of that and still use it no prob. As long as the belt is aligned properly and doesn’t slip, it shouldn’t cause any issue.
