Yamaha G16A Starting problem
My 1998 Yamaha G16A gas has a starting fault. Will start and stop quite normally for several times, but then refuses to turn over and fire up. A gentle tap on the start relay, and away we go!
I've replaced the battery, the solenoid and the start/stop ignition relay but the fault persists. Press the accelerator pedal and there's no response from the engine - lift the seat and tap the relay, seat down and invariably, it will start first time. When running, the throttle and engine are running spot-on, just the 1 in 6 starting glitch. ANY HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED! |
