Did you ground to the battery or frame?

Re: lights on my 2002 yamaha gas golf cart
You have to do power and ground from the battery on these carts, the factory wiring will not support anything much maybe a relay to run something else. If the fuse still pops your ground is not good you have a bad connection/etc. Some lights have no ground wire if you bolt them to frame of cart, then you have to ground the frame to battery. Usually the fuse that blows is 10A for the entire ground of the cart, the frame is not ground on these grounds are all wires.

I would come to the same conclusion, but I would have to have "hands on" to find it! Guess I'm just not mental!

Re: lights on my 2002 yamaha gas golf cart
I went through all that when I first put lights on my cart. Then other people I know have carts....."Hey can you look at this a sec....." Yeah, call me I'll fix it.....but I've always fixed stuff.

Re: lights on my 2002 yamaha gas golf cart
You said you grounded to the battery, we normally change the main wire harness fuse to a 15 or 20 amp. Just a thought.
