Re: Who makes Starr carts
I think they may have been available with chinese "knock-off" motors & controllers. But when we were a Star dealer, ours were all ordered with Curtis ac or dc controllers and "advanced" or "hpev" motors. They are otherwise chinese junk with very sub-par engineering. As i said, i would not own a Star cart.

Re: Who makes Starr carts
I'm curious what the percentage of Chinese content is on the US brands.
I remember when Yamaha was called Japanese junk (not talking golf carts here). |

I'm totally for the American brands. It's just real hard to know what your really getting.
My 06 Harley had a high percentage of foreign parts on it. Does club car and ez go still build all of their parts here? I've also noticed a bunch of Chinese carts that are claiming to be us built when they are obviously not. (Hdk) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Who makes Starr carts
Hi
While l agree with you 1000% as far where they are made and everything about them is suspect, you can't argue that they look better and much faster. In my community the Starr is top dog then the Ezgo then the CC. The Ezgo is the cheapest cart to work with then the CC then the Starr. Every Starr has the lights, directionals horn seat belts a little lift real Mag wheels and this is the base model. Yes 4 seater, folding back seat and canopy with 10" or 12" tires also included in the base model. |

Re: Who makes Starr carts
Looks good 'till the clearcoat starts literaly falling off. While the A.C. Powered Star is fast @ about 27mph, i have built many faster. I can tune a stock RXV to go faster.
