Re: horrible frontend alignment
pittman arms and tie rods wont cause you tires to camber out \ /and then camber in /\ . loose tie rods will cause the front of your tires to toe out when you go forward and then toe in when you go in reverse.
only things that will cause this will be no bearings in the wheel bearings, bad bushings in the A-arms, no king ping bushings, and then bad shocks as the the springs would be so weak that just putting the cart in reverse would push the front of the cart down and camber the tire in /\. putting it in forward would lift the front of the cart and cause the tires to camber in \ / remember the G2/G9 shocks only travel 2.5? inchs in front. With a short A-arm it does not take much to camber it or camber out. |

Re: horrible frontend alignment
I had the same problem on my G9. With toe in/out wrong it will walk all over the road while driving. Hard to control. Also my stock shocks were wore out. I replaced them with motorcycle air shocks and fixed the toe in toe out and that solved the problem. I'm not saying it's not all the other things (bearings, king pins, etc). I'm just saying how I fixed mine. After getting the toe in toe out correct, I haven't seen much tire wear in 5 years and I drive only on the road. Make sure both sides are the same measuring from the center of the rear axle to the center of your front axle. I hope this helps.

Re: horrible frontend alignment
I just installed a Jake's 6 inch lift and have a similar problem on my G2. In reverse, camber looks fairly good but in forward there is bad positive camber. There was some slop in the wheel bearings so I guess I will start there after reading Shawn.M's post!
