Trying to figure out year of cart

Stumbled on this site as i recently bought an older ezgo 2cyc cart that im trying to bring back to life. Id like to purchase a new carb but im not sure of the year or model. Theres a plate under the drivers seat along the frame that reads:

E z g o car div textron

model:gx444-2
serial:5244gx1750
mfg no:262-1227e
looks like 80s model but i could be wrong....any ideas

Near as I can figure from this you have a 1972

Thanks for the help fspor!......at least now i can use that year to look up a carb and see if it matches the one i got....it sat for 5 years, after some fresh gas, a new solenoid, and a couple wires fixed she was movin....for about two days anyways...then it ran real sluggish and always needed to use the choke even when warm....so i pulled the carb it was very dirty pieces of silicone were inside...the bolt that holds the bowl on was stripped and all the gaskets are toast...so long story short im gonna invest in a new carb!
