you have the muffler attached to the frame with no flex joint. as soon as you hit a bump it is going to bend the pipe. Even if you attach to the rear suspension frame that the motor is attached to. You will need to put some flex in the pipe as the motor will move relative to the rear axle.

well.i took my ride out to the desert 4 a test ride yesterday.after a few carb adjustments it did great,temporarily wied muffler with baling wire.everything held up fine so far.tat least twice the power as when project started.next.a top and some wiring.

well 1 fixed my muffler problem.made a bracket and bolted it on to the transmission. worked like a charm. ,back 2 work.

took it out to the desert for a fierce run.after about 3 hrs muffler came apart.i think i need to braise it.anybody got any ideas?

I have never had any luck usin hose clamps in extreme heat apps. replace it with a standard muffler clamp.

muffler clamp as the hose clamp cannot generate enough clamping force on the metal to keep it on.
Or just weld it together - I brazed my last one together and it lasted about 9months. Would suggest mig welding for more strength

i already welded it with a mig.thats what came apart.i am pretty much fed up fooling around with the muffler.would like to get a bolt on .
