Battery and Charger HELP
I just received a 2007 EZGO TXT PDS, there are 6 Trojan 105s in this with a power wise charger, I tried charging 1/2 with a 12 volt car charger and then 3/4 and 5/6, looks like I got 1/2 up to ~5.7, I have a feeling I did not charge them long enough (only 3 hours).
I plug in cart charger and nothing, so I am going to check out the charger tonight with a conductivity meter. does anyone else have any other info, how long do I charge each set of batteries and how many volts will it take for the cart charger to run? Thank you |

Re: Battery and Charger HELP
The battery pack voltage has to be around 30V or above for the Powerwise charger to turn on.
If the pack voltage is at 30V or above, the charger might not be sensing it , or the control board might be bad. |

Re: Battery and Charger HELP
Start charging batteries 2 at a time starting with the 12v charger. Charge them until they read 14v min. under charge, then move the 12v charge to the next pair and do the same. When you begin the 3rd pair charging plug the cart charger in and listen (watch) for it to come on. Disconnect the 12v charger when the cart charger begins.
Do not disconnect any cables to charge pairs. Let the cart charger go until it stops or 16 hours of charging passes, whichever comes first. |
