Identify 36 V motor
Can anyone ID this motor. Bought for $70 on Craigslist.... ID plate is worn off and idk which post is which???
Brought it to a local shop and they told me it’s a series motor and that I would have to jump one post to another and have the other (2) posts connected to (+) and (-).... on a 12v battery to test the motor (see if it spins) I’d like to test it before trying to fabricate a bracket to hold it in place on my 86 club car. Only Problem is - I’ve no idea which posts are which and I don’t want to burn it out (?) by randomly connecting jumpers to it. First time owner and first time posting. ALSO - this is not a club car motor - came off another make.... Thanks ! Last edited by Helix68; 08-22-2020 at 06:55 PM.. Reason: Picture |

Re: Identify 36 V motor
UPDATE:
Reading thru the forum found out motor casing is “LIGHTLY” stamped and probably covered by years of build up.... Sure enough - wire brush revealed posts numbers! Hope that helps someone with same issue.... |
