Default G1 Roll Bar/Cage

Anyone attempt this? I'm at a loss for how to design the roll cage for my G1 with the way the rear section flips up and backwards. Tried doing a search and can't come up with anything. Any help would be appreciated!

I was dreaming about it last night.....couldn't get it out of my head LOL! So what if I attach the roll cage to the front somewhere just like other yamaha carts, then in the back, attach it to the underside of the frame from outside the rear body just in front of the wheels? I could weld a piece underneath to the main frame and bring it out from under the cart where it could attach to the cage. Make the cage wide and tall enough in the rear so that the rear body could still flip up like normal without removing the cage..... Hmmm wonder if the geometry would be right or if the cage would have to be too tall?

Maybe these pics will give you something to go off of. The whole center/top is bolted on with wing nuts...just take it off.... then the body will flip back as it should. Takes about a minute to take apart.

Thanks! Yeah that gives me some ideas. What size tubing did you use? When you flip the rear section back, the cage holds it's shape ok? The rear section handles the extra weight ok?

I was thinking I would have to have it stay together or remove the cage.

If I pull it out of the garage this weekend I will get you some better pictures of how it is taken apart and flipped back.

I use 1.5" tubing on my cages. I personally think it fits the carts pretty good.
