Ezgo RXV RoyPow Install
Complete novice here with a question regarding installing the RoyPow battery factory.
I had four 12-volt batteries and to the batteries there were a few cables connected (see pictures). I was told when I purchased the battery I would just take off the old connections and place them on the new RoyPow terminals... I just want to make sure I'm not going to blow everything up. I'm also not sure what the additional cables are on the positive terminal. I think they are the charger port and possibly the lights? Since they were attached on one of the 4 original batteries. the 12-volt batterlights are connected and don't want to blow them out. I also want to connect a USB charger but I cannot connect it directly to the 48 volt battery pack. Thank you and in advance. |

Re: Ezgo RXV RoyPow Install
Your cart has factory DC-DC converter for lights. There are two insulated posts on the same mounting bracket as the DC-DC converter. You can connect your USB outlet with a fuse directly to those two posts.
You can move all of the connections on the Pack pos and neg directly to the RoyPow as instructed. One set of the #10 cables (blk/red) was feed to the converter. The other set was from the charge receptacle. The last #10 black was B- to CAN connector and brake release connector. Attached is a troubleshooting manual for the RXV with Curtis controller. |
