Ezgo help
Hi all great forum, I have just picked up a buggy
Cushman haulier 800 Serial number 2819690 It has a 48v DC motor, rating AU2500 FLT speed 3/26/12 The controller is a Curtis 1206HB-5201 250A I think it’s sepex, tow/on switch I can make the motor run by jumping The motor and controller are 48v but it only has 36v of batteries (reading 36.7v) The solenoid has been hot wired, which cannot be correct (I have ordered a new one). So many questions, where should I start, can I test the controller I should mention that I want to do 48v, put 23 wheels on and use it on grass around the farm but not extreme off roading. I am in the uk Any help suggestions greatly appreciated |

Re: Ezgo help
For a VERY TEMPORARY test you could put a 12v battery in series with the 36V pack to get up to 48v and see if the cart will go. It won't go long and that's extremely hard on the 12v battery, but it'll let you know that the controller works. I wouldn't go more than 3 meters like this though.
Also, with as much weirdness as you already know is happening on the cart there may be some other funny wiring you don't know about yet. Just keep your eyes open. If you opt to upgrade the controller the Alltrax XCT 48400 (or if you want aftermarket motor and bigger tires XCT 48500) are great options and what 'most' people use for their upgrade on this forum. |

Re: Ezgo help
Thanks, I am looking at lift kits, while I wait for a few bits.
Can anyone tell me the age of my cart, how do I lookup the serial number. |

Re: Ezgo help
There should be a manufacturing code near the serial number. This will date your cart. Any upgrades for controller etc will most likely have to be imported by yourself. D&D will mail to the UK, but ScottyB will not. I am not sure about the other suppliers but worth contacting some site sponsors to find out. Depending on your location and the age of the cart, I may be able to help you source parts in the UK.

Re: Ezgo help
Ok so after a bit more looking,
The cart is a 2012 CSH haul 800E What does the csh mean? 48v controller, 48v motor, 48v dc/dc converter But only 36v of battery. Do I need to update the batteries? |

Re: Ezgo help
Sounds like you are missing a battery. How many batteries and installed are they 8V or 12V each?

Re: Ezgo help
Battery added reading 51v fully charged
The solenoid test seems good 3v lower between them The solenoid does not click, when should it click? Testing ITS (16 port plug, 15 used) red wire 51v, black wire 22v |

Re: Ezgo help
Csh is Cushman. 2012 will probably have the same harness as an Ezgo txt. A handheld would be extremely helpful in troubleshooting but if you don’t have one you can still figure it out. That harness is also known for a sonic weld failure near the run tow switch.. Attached is the diagram
