Question Ezgo TXt big battery lead acid to lithium conversion

Have an ezgo txt 2002 48V with a custom controller and a delta quiq on board battery charger.
I just got eagl big battery lithium kit
(2 x 48v lifepo4, 48v charger, bussbar, digital meter and brackets)

Do I need to buy a converter? Or can I use the delta quiq? I get mixed answers when I look online.

Also does anyone have a detailed installation on anything similar to what I’m doing?
Ive never done it before and ‘big battery’ don’t have any instructions or videos. They said everything is plug and play, but I don’t want to set it up and burn out the lithium’s. A friend from a cart store said I might need a converter.

What do you mean by "converter"? They included a charger in the kit, it should be matched up with the batteries. Maybe best to use it?

You don't really gain top speed unless your pack has higher voltage under load. You gain acceleration due to the loss of weight so it feels faster.

If you want to use your existing charger I'd make sure it can be programmed for your lithium batteries.

The lead acid charger will overcharge the lithium. But the lithium setup has a BMS that will cut the charge. The issue is now you are relying on the BMS to stop the charge now and forever.

If instead you can get your charger calibrated for lithium and stop the charge at say 4.15vpc instead of going all the way to 4.20vpc then the BMS should not have to stop the charge unless your cells are substantively out of balance.

Think of it as cheap insurance having the charger stop before it causes a fire and having the BMS as a backup.
